Meet Our Team

Zach Beckwith

Owner & CEO

Zach is the Founder and Owner of Path 2 Self Performance, where his mission is to help adults build strength, confidence, and a healthier life through sustainable fitness and personalized coaching.

With a background as a Physical Therapist Assistant and Certified Personal Trainer, Zach has spent his career helping people of all ages and abilities improve how they move, feel, and perform. His experience working with individuals recovering from injuries, managing limitations, and returning to an active lifestyle shaped the coaching philosophy behind Path 2 Self.

Zach believes fitness should be about more than simply losing weight or working harder. It should help you become stronger, move better, feel more capable, and build habits that you can actually maintain for the rest of your life. His approach combines strength training, movement quality, accountability, and individualized coaching to meet people where they are and help them progress safely.

After experiencing his own struggles with injuries and performance throughout his athletic career, Zach became passionate about understanding why people get hurt, why they struggle to stay consistent, and what it takes to create lasting change. That perspective ultimately led him to build Path 2 Self around a different kind of fitness experience—one where members receive the coaching, accountability, and personal attention they need to succeed.

Today, Zach’s focus is not only on coaching individuals, but on building a team and a culture that can positively impact hundreds & Thousands of people in the community. His goal is simple: to create a place where people can become stronger, healthier, and more confident at every stage of life.

Dylan Frechette

Head of Operations & Member Experience

Dylan is the Head of Operations & Member Experience at Path 2 Self Performance and one of our senior coaches. His passion for fitness began in high school after losing 50 pounds, a transformation that changed his life both physically and mentally and sparked his desire to help others experience that same sense of confidence and strength.

Dylan went on to earn his degree in Exercise Science from Three Rivers Community College. During his final year, he was connected with Zach for his required student internship. What started as an internship quickly turned into an opportunity to become part of the Path 2 Self team.

At the time, Dylan joined as a part-time coach and worked alongside Zach to help develop the semi-private and small group personal training model that became the foundation of the Gales Ferry location. As Path 2 Self continued to grow, so did Dylan’s role within the company from part-time coach to a key member of the leadership team.

Today, Dylan combines his experience as a coach with his role as Head of Operations & Member Experience. He helps oversee the systems, communication, accountability, and day-to-day processes that keep our members supported and engaged, while continuing to coach members on the training floor.

Dylan’s coaching style combines science-backed training with real-world coaching, with a focus on building strength, confidence, and consistency. He is known for his attention to detail, accountability-driven approach, and genuine care for the success of every member.

Having experienced firsthand how fitness can change a person’s life, Dylan’s mission is to help others discover that same feeling and to make sure every member has the coaching, support, and environment they need to succeed.

Dusty Chenette

Head of Sales & Senior Coach

Dusty has been one of Zach’s closest friends since childhood, and his journey with Path 2 Self is a reflection of the relationship, trust, and shared vision that helped build the company.

Before joining Path 2 Self, Dusty spent years in leadership and management, including as a Store Manager with Aldi Foods. After developing a passion for fitness through CrossFit, he became a certified CrossFit Coach and began coaching at a local gym.

When Zach opened the first Path 2 Self location, he continued encouraging Dusty to make the move and become part of the team. Dusty initially joined part-time, but after the opening of the second location, he made the decision to go all in.

Today, Dusty is a full-time leader at Path 2 Self, overseeing sales and helping guide the experience members have from their first interaction with the company through their journey as a member. As one of our senior coaches, he also works directly with members on the training floor and brings his leadership experience, coaching knowledge, and high-energy personality to every session.

Dusty believes that great fitness experiences are built on relationships. Whether he’s helping someone take their first step through the door, coaching them through a challenging workout, or helping them stay accountable, his goal is to make sure every member feels supported and knows they have a team in their corner.

For Dusty, Path 2 Self is more than a place to work. It’s a chance to help build something he believes in alongside people he cares about—and to help others experience the same confidence and community that fitness has given him.

Erin Khuse

Certified Personal Trainer

Erin is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer who believes fitness should be approachable, sustainable, and accessible to everyone. After spending two decades working in management and marketing, Erin began her fitness journey in 2020 and quickly discovered the transformative impact that strength training and movement could have on both physical and mental well-being.

As a coach at Path 2 Self Performance, Erin specializes in functional strength training and helping members build confidence in the gym. Her coaching style focuses on teaching the fundamentals, developing proper movement patterns, and creating realistic routines that fit each person’s individual needs and lifestyle.

Erin understands that getting started can be one of the hardest parts of a fitness journey. Whether you’re completely new to strength training or looking to become more consistent with your workouts, she meets you where you are and helps you build the skills and confidence to keep moving forward.

Eric Zane

Certified Personal Trainer, Professional MMA Fighter

Eric is a full-time coach at Path 2 Self Performance with a background in high-level collegiate wrestling and professional MMA. He has been part of the Path 2 Self team for more than two years, coaching members across both our Gales Ferry and Norwich locations.

Eric was first introduced to Path 2 Self through his father, who previously worked with our team as a mental health and EMDR therapist. After becoming part of the Path 2 Self community himself, Eric began working with us part-time as a coach while continuing to pursue his own athletic career.

A former collegiate wrestler, Eric has carried his competitive mindset into professional MMA, where he continues to train and compete. He currently trains at Dexter’s in Groton, a well-known MMA gym that has helped develop high-level fighters, including UFC fighter Billy Ray Goff.

At Path 2 Self, Eric brings that experience into a coaching environment designed for people of all fitness levels. He leads our Cardio Boxing program and coaches Functional Strength Training and small group personal training at both locations. His coaching combines strength, conditioning, athletic movement, and accountability while meeting each member at their individual starting point.

Eric believes that training should challenge you while still being enjoyable and sustainable. Whether you’re learning your first boxing combination, building strength, or pushing toward a new personal goal, his goal is to help members become stronger, more confident, and capable of more than they thought possible.

Riley Brown

Fitness Trainer

My name is Riley Brown! I first walked through the doors of this gym in 2022, back when it was under different ownership. I quickly became a regular, taking multiple classes each week and falling in love with the workouts, the people, and the community.

Eventually, I was given the opportunity to step into a new role and start teaching. When the gym became Path 2 Self, Zach welcomed me onto his team and gave me the opportunity to continue doing something I truly love.

Today, I teach Functional Strength Training and love helping people become stronger, more confident, and more comfortable in their fitness journey. Having started as a member myself, I understand how much the right environment and community can influence your experience—and how rewarding it is to watch people discover what they’re capable of.

What I love most about Path 2 Self is the atmosphere and the people. Fitness has become such an important part of my life, and I hope to help others discover that same love for movement and all the ways it can make you feel stronger inside and out.

As a coach at Path 2 Self Performance, Alyssa focuses on functional movement, strength, stability, and body awareness. Her background in nursing gives her a unique perspective on the importance of taking care of your body and building healthy habits that can be sustained for the long term.

Her goal is simple: to help every member feel better, move better, and leave the gym feeling more capable than when they arrived.
